How to dress your age: 20s

Starting out in style? Here’s everything you need to know -

We're not going to lie – your 20s are tricky. You're probably in the best shape of your life, fit enough to pull off pretty much anything. But transitioning from your college wardrobe to the workplace is an important step, one that can be summed up in two words: capsule wardrobe. Start by investing in important go-to pieces that will form the foundation of your wardrobe while offering great value for money: hard-wearing chinos, well-fitting jeans, smart shoes, your first proper suit and a decent watch. Once you've got that down, it's time to experiment with trends and work out what looks good on you. Finally, now that you're no longer relying on Daddy's credit card, work towards buying your first designer pieces. We recommend starting small: Ties, cufflinks, wallets and other budget-friendly accessories. In short, this is the first decade of the rest of your adult life. Make sure you start it in style. -

1. Slim cuts

Right now, you don't need to spend hours in the gym to stay fit. Celebrate that by seeking out slim-fitted clothes (we said slim, not painted-on) that don't swamp you in acres of excess fabric.

                                                   2. Find your colour comfort zone

Now's the time to figure out which colours work best on you. As a general rule, lighter colors complement darker skin tones (think pale blue, yellow, pastel pink, white), while darker colours — navy blue, dark green, dark red, brown — stand out on fairer skin. When playing the accessories game, plan for a versatile mix of solids and eye-catching prints.

                                                                      3. Shop online

The e-commerce boom has resulted in an explosion of wallet-friendly clothing options catering to guys in their twenties, from eclectic single-label websites to more massy options like Jabong, Flipkart and Myntra.

                                        4. Make friends with a tailor and a barber

Never, ever underestimate the power of a good haircut and an expertly fitted suit. Get to know these men and/or women now and they will keep you looking good for years to come.

Trending Hair Styles For Cool Guys

Summer cool hair styles for men

1.Short And Simple

This look is literally that — short and simple! But it’s not so short that you have to compromise on style.

How To Style:

  1. Towel dry wet hair so there’s only a very minimal amount of dampness.
  2. Apply product to the top of your hair. Be sure to move your hands around randomly so the top has plenty of texture and movement.
Best Face Shape and Hair Type:
This look is perfect if you have extra thick hair, but still want to have a bit of length. An oval shaped face will work well for this cut.

SUPERBLY SIDE PARTED:

Okay so Zac Efron may have been blessed by the hair gods, but fear not! If you have hair that’s a bit on the long side, you too can rock a sexy side part.
How To Style:
  1. When hair is wet, use a comb to distinguish a side part.
  2. Use a blow dryer (and a flat brush if you own one) to dry your hair. Keep the blow dryer on low and aim it in the direction your hair will be laying, not all over the place. This step will ensure that your hair isn’t sticking up everywhere and that your defined, side parted style looks deliberate.
  3. When your hair is almost fully dry, use a working product to keep the style in place. If needed, finish with a light hold hairspray.
Best Face Shape and Hair Type:
This look is perfect if you have fine or medium textured hair that’s straight. A little wave won’t be bad, but if you have curls this style may not work for you. If you have a longer face this look will suit you especially.

SUBLIMELY SLICKED BACK

Here is classic men’s look that simply never goes out of style!
  1. Use a blow dryer and a flat brush to blow dry your hair back and away from your face. Brush your hair back as you are blow drying. Do this until your hair is nearly dried completely.
  2. Apply a strong hold gel. Once the product is applied, use a comb to assure that the product has been applied evenly.
Best Face Shape and Hair Type:
This look is perfect if you have fine, medium or thick hair that’s generally straight and has some length. If you have a narrow and elongated face, this look will work well for you.

LENGTHY LOCKS:

Mr. Pitt is no stranger to both short AND long hair! He rocks this look well and so can you in virtually no time at all.
How To Style:
  1. If you have naturally straight hair, or even hair that’s a bit wavy, allow your hair to air dry naturally.
  2. If more texture is desired, apply a small amount of texturizing wax to the ends of your hair.
Best Face Shape and Hair Type:
If you have hair that’s on the straight side or with a minimal amount of wave, this look is ideal for you! It is virtually a zero styling time style and it looks fantastic. A round face will be complemented by this look.
Recommended Products:
As I mentioned above, you really don’t need any products for this style, but if you want a bit of texture, try Label M’s styling wax.
Tips:
Day old hair is even better for this look! Skip the wash for a day and I guarantee you will love how it makes your hair look.

SIMPLY SLEEK:

Here’s another take on the side part, but this time it’s far more manicured and smoothed down. It’s a great option for a fancy night out!
How To Style:
  1. When hair is wet, use a comb to distinguish a side part.
  2. Use a blow dryer (and a flat brush if you own one) to dry your hair. Keep the blow dryer on low and aim it in the direction your hair will be laying. This step will ensure that your hair isn’t sticking up everywhere and that your defined side parted style looks deliberate.
  3. When your hair is almost fully dry, apply a strong hold gel. Use a comb to ensure that your hair stays in place. If desired, finish with a strong hold hairspray.
Best Face Shape and Hair Type:
Any texture of hair will work for this look! However, if you have extra curly hair, you may want to stay away from this style. If you have an elongated or narrow face shape, this look will suit you.

PERFECTLY UNDONE

This look is relaxed yet über stylish. It’s a great option if you want to keep your hair a bit long without it brushing your shoulders.

How To Style:
  1. If you have naturally curly or wavy hair and want to accentuate your curls, apply a curl cream to wet hair. Otherwise, allow hair to dry naturally.
  2. Apply texture cream or Hair Resort Spray by Kevin Murphy to give a grittier, more undone look.
Best Face Shape and Hair Type:
This look is perfection for those who have wavy hair that’s not incredibly thick. A round face shape will be flattered by this look.

Looks Of Virat Kohli

Exclusive: Virat Kohli wants you to dress like him

Virat Kohli makes his fashion debut with Wrogn.

Whether he's cracking sixes on the field or not, you have to admit Virat Kohli is a consistent scorer in the style department.

Since his debut on the GQ India cover to his appointment as one of 2012's Best Dressed men (vetted by starlet Angela Jonsson, no less), Kohli's Delhi boy swagger has earned him multiple ad campaigns, a legion of breathless fans and a movie star girlfriend. (Anushka Sharma, for those of you not addicted to the tabloids).  And like any benevolent celebrity, Kohli is ready to give back. By letting you have a tiny taste of what it's like to live his life, via his wardrobe.  Enter his first fashion line for men, Wrogn. It's pronounced wrong, but, you know, cooler. In the campaign (click through the slideshow above), Kohli models a mix of graphic T-shirts, band collar shirts and lightweight denim jackets, worn with cuffed chinos and jeans. "Though Virat is not a designer, he's actively involved in the design process and styling," explains Anjana Reddy, managing director of Wrogn. "In fact, when we were shooting the campaign, the stylist wanted to try a layered look on him. He instantly said, "Nobody in India wears two shirts and then throws a jacket on top, guys here like to keep it simple." And that's the direction we went in." Available at Shoppers' Stop outlets and online at Myntra.com, the collection will start retailing in February next year to coincide with the international Spring/Summer calendar. And with prices hovering around the Rs 1,500 mark, Wrogn's young urban target audience has little to complain about.

Wrogn is an extension of Virat Kohli's natural casual aesthetic.

Essentially a T-shirts and jeans line, Wrogn is targeted at the young urban male.

Available at Shoppers' Stop outlets and online at Myntra.com, the collection will start retailing in june next

Strategy Towards Your Look

There’s a big difference between being on-trend/in-style and having style. A focus on trends as a form of personal style ensures that you’re always chasing the next thing and will undoubtedly amass a collection of clothes that, after one season, will sit in your closet in perpetuity and leave you to ponder, “What was I thinking?” when you do finally get around to cleaning out said closet.
| WEARING | Cardigan and pants c/o Kit and Ace, Al Bazar shirt, Oliver Peoples sunglasses,
I would hope that now since athleisure is reaching something of a fever pitch as evidenced by it’s availability from mainstream retailers like J.Crew, that it will begin to fade into the annals of fashion misses and become one of those things we keep hidden better than our seventh grade yearbook photo. I hypothesized previously that the short suit was dead when it transitioned from a cool oddity worn by a few fashion forward sartorial boundary pushers into a mild form of bro-couture. Nothing kills cool like mainstream attention, after all. At least for hipsters-at-heart. And have you heard much about the short suit this season? Right.

Finally,The dressing sense is the most important thing to take care.
